Andrew Vella Is a Graduate of Skidmore College with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and a minor in Religious Studies. He has taught computer programming, algebra, and theater to children from ages 5 to 15. Andrew has taught for Private Prep, the Marymount School of New York, and the High School of Fashion Industries. Additionally, Andrew has spoken for classes at Brooklyn College, and Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Andrew developed an interest in computer science as a child, developing video games in the Scratch programming language. He discovered his passion for teaching when he tutored children in Scratch. Since tutoring, he has been invited to speak at several classes, including at Brooklyn College and Columbia Irving Medical Center. When the weather is nice, Andrew can be found photographing birds and other wildlife, which he shares to Instagram and Flickr.
